The opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a mid-level Procurement Specialist to join the P-8A Sustainment Program based at RAAF Base Edinburgh. The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, execute tactical sourcing activities and support process improvements to ensure timely, cost effective delivery of goods and services in alignment with program objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement for assigned programs;
- Conduct supplier selection and evaluation; maintain supplier performance metrics;
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements;
- Track purchase orders, expedite deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and manage orders;
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and reporting in the procurement system
Experience/Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of procurement, sourcing, or supplier management experience;
- Demonstrated experience with RFQs/RFPs, issuing purchase orders, contract management, and supplier performance monitoring;
- Proficient with procurement/ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
- Results-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines;
- Collaborative team player who builds strong supplier and internal relationships;
- Problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset
