In Australia, our Energy Minerals business is a leading provider of coal testing, analysis and expert advice. Due to rapid growth, we currently have a Reporting role available in Newcastle.
Job Description
SGS AUSTRALIA IS LOOKING FOR REPORTING ASSISTANT

Hours of availability 5am to 6pm and Weekends
In this role, you will be responsible for collating, reviewing and preparing technical data from laboratory testing and sample analysis activities. Your attention to detail will ensure reports are accurate, compliant and delivered within agreed timeframes.
This is a great opportunity for someone with coal laboratory experience who enjoys working with data, quality processes and delivering reliable outcomes for customers. Flexibility is critical, working as part of a fast-paced team.
Key responsibilities

Ensure reporting of results to customers is accurate and on time
-
Maintain harmonious relationships with clients and within the operation centre

Maintain customer database
-
Generate, coordinate and distribute project documentation as required

Assist with Ad Hoc projects and Production
-
Data interpretation and Data Entry
-
Sample dispatch & receipt
-
Be compliant to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures
-
At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Previous coal sampling and testing experience would be an advantage. The successful candidate will also have:

Two years coal experience preferably within a laboratory environment

Database experience
-
Ability to meet KPI’s
-
Computer skills in Word, Excel and CCLAS essential

Excellent time management skills to handle tight, fast paced and pressured deadlines
-
Dealing with problems and pressures from customer demand in a timely manner
-
Excellent project management skills are essential
