The Role & Responsibilities
As a Disability Support Worker, you will assist our local participants with:
- Daily Life: Respectful personal care (showering, grooming), domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry), and healthy meal preparation.
- Community Access: Driving participants to medical appointments, social outings, shopping, or supporting them to explore new hobbies.
- Goal Progression: Working under the 10 Principles of Dignity in Care to actively build individual independence, self-esteem, and social connections.
What You’ll Need to Bring:
* A bubbly, compassionate, and empathetic nature.
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
* QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
* Completed NDIS Worker modules
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence, smart phone, and a reliable, fully insured vehicle.
Experience in Complex Bowel Care, PEG feeding, or Psychosocial Mental Health is highly regarded (but not mandatory, as we provide continual professional development!).
