We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive forward our defence strategy, working directly with our co- founder.
The role
Defence represents one of Emesent’s most significant strategic growth opportunities, and we are investing in the product capability needed to capture and expand that market. You’ll be the product manager driving our defence strategy, working directly with our co-founder. Your job is to find the right opportunities and create alignment around them. You’ll lead the discovery work that separates a promising hunch from a commercially validated bet, and translate what you learn into a clear product direction the team can execute against. This is a high-autonomy role with significant leadership interest — you will operate with limited guidance and your judgement will shape where we invest.

Founded in 2018 with deep roots in Australia’s globally recognised CSIRO, we’ve built a reputation for delivering high-quality spatial data capture across mining, infrastructure, survey, and construction industries. Our flagship product, Hovermap, is an autonomous mobile scanning platform that combines advanced collision avoidance and autonomous flight with LiDAR mapping to capture data in hazardous, GPS-denied, and hard-to-reach environments. Mountable on drones, vehicles, or carried as a backpack, Hovermap has set the standard for mobile mapping in underground mining and confined spaces. Our newest product, GX1, extends Emesent’s mapping technology into the AEC and survey markets. GX1 is a ground-based LiDAR scanner purpose-built for above-ground environments delivering fast, accurate spatial capture for surveying and reality capture professionals. With a rapidly growing global customer base and multiple product lines spanning hardware, desktop software, and cloud, Emesent is at an exciting inflection point — and we’re looking for people who want to help shape what comes next.
