About the Opportunity
Royal Freemasons is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Officer to join our team at Elizabeth Gardens Residential Aged Care.
Working 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm), you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, comfortable and well-presented environment for residents, visitors and staff.
This hands-on position involves a combination of preventative and reactive maintenance, grounds upkeep, contractor coordination and general repairs. You will work autonomously while also being supported by a collaborative and caring team.
This role is well suited to someone with strong maintenance experience, excellent problem-solving abilities, a proactive mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out general building maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance activities

Maintain the presentation and safety of the facility and grounds

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and rectify issues as they arise

Coordinate and oversee contractors and external service providers

Assist with asset management and maintenance compliance requirements

Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with relevant regulations and standards

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

A trade qualification and/or significant maintenance experience
-
Experience performing general maintenance and grounds duties
Well-developed practical skills across carpentry, plumbing, electrical maintenance and general repairs -
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

Sound computer literacy and confidence using maintenance management systems

Experience coordinating contractors and service providers
-
Knowledge of preventative and scheduled maintenance programs
-
A current Victorian Driver Licence
