Drive organisational success through strategic reporting, performance insights and data-driven planning that delivers measurable outcomes for community and customers.
We're building Darebin's future - and we're looking for great people to join us.
As part of our organisational redesign, we're introducing new roles that support Darebin's future focus and priorities.
About the role:
We’re on an exciting path to strengthen how we plan and track our work, creating an environment that supports our people and puts customers at the centre. As our Corporate Reporting & Performance Officer, you’ll play a key role in developing and managing reports on our major organisational plans and performance measures. You’ll also help shape the plans, frameworks and metrics that guide how we measure success.
You will:
- Deliver high-quality corporate reporting and performance insights by coordinating end-to-end reporting, maintaining corporate strategy systems, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements to inform and engage stakeholders.
- Enable effective planning and organisational performance by supporting corporate plans, frameworks and metrics, leading projects, and building strong cross organisation relationships to drive continuous improvement, streamlined processes and meaningful outcomes.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in corporate performance reporting and data management, with sound knowledge of the Local Government Act 2020 and the Integrated Planning and Reporting framework for Victorian local government.
- Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to collect, verify, interpret and clearly present performance data to a range of audiences including senior leaders and Councillors.
- Proven ability to prepare high-quality reports, briefings and Council papers, with outstanding written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and work collaboratively across an organisation to coordinate reporting inputs, manage competing priorities and meet statutory deadlines.
- Familiarity with corporate planning and reporting software platforms, with the ability to support administration, troubleshooting and user capability in a local government context.
