Key Responsibilities
As a 1:1 teacher, you will:
? Assess and respond to the individual learning needs of your student, tailoring instructional strategies and designing clear, personalised learning plans.
? Set specific, measurable, and achievable goals in partnership with families, specialists, and leadership.
? Establish and maintain strong, trusting relationships with the student, carers, and colleagues, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
? Collaborate effectively with parents, caregivers, and support staff, ensuring a consistent approach to the student?s academic and social development.
? Differentiate curriculum and instruction, utilising evidence-based practices to address learning barriers and support diverse learning styles, for a child with additional needs.
? Monitor student progress using formative and summative assessment tools, adjusting teaching approaches as needed.
? Provide regular, constructive feedback to students and communicate ongoing progress with families and the wider support team.
? Promote student wellbeing, resilience, and self-regulation through positive behaviour support strategies in line with school policies.
? Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and flexibility, adapting to evolving student needs and school priorities.
? Commit to reflective practice and continual professional growth, applying current best practice in teaching and learning.
About You
You will bring:
? Current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia and a recognised teaching qualification.
? Proven experience in creating positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environments.
? Strong communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
? The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team of educators, leaders, and support staff.
? A passion for evidence-based, differentiated teaching and commitment to student wellbeing and personalised growth.
? Confidence with integrating technology for teaching, learning, and assessment.
