About Kennards Major Projects
Kennards Major Projects (KMP) is the specialist division delivering equipment solutions to some of Australia's largest and most complex projects, with values ranging from $100 million to over $4 billion.
Our work is helping shape Australia's future—from Wind Farms, Solar Farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) through to major roads, tunnels, airports, rail networks and energy interconnector projects. Every day, our team works alongside Australia's leading contractors to keep these critical projects moving.
About the role
We're looking for a Hire Controller to join our Victorian KMP team. Working alongside one other Hire Controller, you'll provide dedicated support to six Project Managers delivering more than 50 major projects across Victoria.
This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role where no two days are the same. You'll be the operational hub behind the projects—coordinating equipment, preparing quotes and hire contracts, managing logistics, processing invoices and working closely with branches, suppliers and customers to ensure every project receives exceptional service.
What you'll be doing

Prepare quotes, hire contracts and customer documentation.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries, collections and transfers.
- Manage project logistics and supplier communications.
- Process invoicing, contract amendments and customer enquiries.
- Work closely with Project Managers to keep projects running smoothly.
- Build strong relationships across our national branch network.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience on every interaction.
About you
You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy juggling multiple priorities, building strong relationships and finding solutions in a fast-moving environment. You don't need major projects experience—we'll teach you that. What matters is your ability to stay organised, communicate confidently and deliver great service.
Ideally you'll bring:

Experience in customer service, hire, logistics or administration.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Confidence using computer systems (Baseplan experience is an advantage).
- A proactive, team-first mindset and willingness to learn.
- An interest in construction, infrastructure or equipment hire
