The Opportunity
As the Executive Director, Mission Coordination and Analysis (EDMCA) you will play a pivotal senior leadership role in shaping the strategic priorities of the ACIC and working to support its critical intelligence mission. The position sits within the Intelligence Group and reports directly to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer - Intelligence.
As EDMCA, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership team, contributing to the development of long-term strategies and policies to ensure the ACIC’s sustainability and capability to deliver against its criminal intelligence objectives, in a dynamic and complex operating environment. You will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders including government departments, law enforcement and intelligence partners and other external organisations, ensuring that ACIC remains a trusted and valuable partner in safeguarding Australia's national security.
Role responsibilities
As Executive Director, Mission Coordination and Analysis you will:
- Lead and oversee the agency’s mission coordination and analysis functions, driving change, operational performance, efficiency, and outcomes

Provide leadership, structure and purpose to drive the development and delivery of intelligence insights and reporting, including through development and implementation of appropriate frameworks, policies and procedures

Ensure exceptional service by developing operational-level intelligence priorities and requirements, developing national strategies, and informing collection planning

Exercise well-developed judgement and strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to anticipate and analyse issues from multiple perspectives

Thrive under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment, maintaining effective performance and focus

Provide impartial and clear advice to the CEO, Deputy CEOs and other stakeholders and to make challenging decisions to achieve enterprise-wide outcomes

Engage with internal and external stakeholders, utilise high-level personal engagement and communication skills to understand requirements and foster collaborative relationships.

Eligibility
- Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.

Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
