Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight | Multiple Positions Available
$74,199 pa (ie. $37.55/hour) - incl. industry and uniform allowance + 12% super (level 3)
76 hour fortnight
Location: Narangba
Work as part of the Roads and Drains team delivering maintenance activities across Council's signage assets. Working alongside a Crew Leader, you'll support the installation, maintenance and replacement of regulatory, warning and information signage throughout the region.
This hands on role involves a variety of labouring and maintenance activities, primarily contributing to the ongoing safety, functionality and compliance of Council's signage network.
Some of the tasks include:
installing, repairing and replacing regulatory, warning and information signs
undertaking general labouring activities predominantly associated with signage maintenance works
assisting with the identification and rectification of signage defects
maintaining work sites and supporting safe traffic management practices
operating and maintaining plant, equipment and tools in accordance with training and safety requirements
The role also involves using tools, equipment and PPE, and working as part of a team to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality maintenance outcomes
About you
Ideally your application will demonstrate recent hands on experience in signage, transport infrastructure or civil maintenance environments.
You'll also bring:
experience undertaking labouring or maintenance activities in a field based environment
the ability to safely perform manual tasks and operate tools and equipment
proven communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others
a strong commitment to safe work practices and procedures
the ability to work constructively as part of a crew environment
Requirements:
Current truck licence (minimum MR - Medium Rigid)
