What you need for the role:
- Role model Individual Contributor leadership behaviours as outlined in the Leadership competencies for Queensland.
- Demonstrated project management experience and understanding of principles, practices and methodologies for the assessment of ecotourism facility proposals, employing ethical behaviour.
- Applied knowledge of ecotourism in relation to national parks and other protected areas and the ability to quickly understand relevant legislation, policies and frameworks.
- Interpersonal, problem solving and negotiation skills and the ability to successfully initiate and implement change and continuous improvement for good ecotourism outcomes.
- Ambition to drive results to achieve departmental objectives.
- Ability to undertake high level written and verbal communication (including stakeholder liaison, advice and preparation of written reports, commercial leases and complex ministerial and executive correspondence and briefs).
- It is highly desirable that the successful applicant has knowledge of contract management principles.
