We’re now looking for a commercially driven State Sales Manager to lead our Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG) sales function and drive growth across your region.
Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven State Sales Manager to lead sales performance, customer growth and market expansion across a key Truckline territory.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing state sales strategies, leading and coaching a high-performing sales team, strengthening key customer relationships and driving sustainable revenue growth.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced sales leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a team of Account Managers, Business Development Managers and Customer Service professionals to achieve sales and profitability targets.

Develop and execute state sales plans, budgets and growth strategies aligned to national business objectives.

Build strong relationships with key customers, transport operators, fleet customers and industry stakeholders to maximise sales opportunities and customer retention.

Partner with Branch Managers and operational leaders to drive sales growth and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Monitor sales performance, analyse market trends and identify opportunities to improve revenue, profitability and market share.

Lead key account planning, contract negotiations and commercial discussions to secure long-term customer partnerships.

Collaborate with National Sales, Marketing and Product teams to deliver effective go-to-market initiatives and local campaigns.

Foster a high-performance culture that prioritises safety, accountability, customer service and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
You are a proven sales leader with strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship-building skills and a track record of delivering sales growth.
You will bring:

Minimum 5 years' sales experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Demonstrated success developing and implementing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.

Experience managing and developing high-performing sales teams.

Strong commercial, negotiation and customer relationship management skills.

Ability to analyse sales data and use insights to improve performance.

Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management capabilities.

Experience within the heavy vehicle, transport, trucking, automotive aftermarket, industrial or distribution sectors.

Relevant qualification in Business, Marketing or a related discipline is preferred.

Willingness to travel throughout the state as required.
