Note: this is an ENTRY LEVEL ROLE.
No experience is necessary as full training is given. (Though if you have any experience with SEO, digital marketing, etc, that's obviously a bonus).
This is an ongoing CONTRACT POSITION, so you must have your own ABN to be considered.

You'll be WORKING FROM HOME 2 days a week from 11.30 am to 4.30 pm (Mon-Fri). Though, after training, the role may expand to 3 or 4 days per week (if your uni schedule allows). But you MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR 2 SHIFTS A WEEK minimum to be eligible for this role.
Note: the two days per week you'll be working will be locked in, but we've no issue changing which 2 days you're working, semester to semester, if your uni timetable changes.
We're a leading Sydney and Central Coast digital marketing agency specialising in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), web design, Google Ads/PPC, content marketing, and Facebook ads, etc.
We're seeking 1 x part-time Online Digital Marketing Assistant - able to start ASAP.
Full training in all things SEO and online marketing will be provided by one of Australia’s leading SEO experts (who has been doing SEO since 1999/2000). So if you're studying DIGITAL MARKETING (or similar) this job will be invaluable for you when you graduate.
The bare minimum you'll need for this job is to be computer/internet savvy and have an active interest in online marketing, websites, etc. So, if you don't know the difference between a search engine and a fire engine, or between a keyword and a key chain, then this isn't going to be the position for you...
You'll spend a lot of your day working through Excel sheets, so ideally you'll be a wiz (or at the very least, competent) at Excel. And will be VERY detail-oriented.
Oh, and if you’ve worked with WordPress websites (as either a designer or coder) and/or understand how the backend of a WordPress website functions, then that’s a huge plus too (though by no means mandatory).
Any additional skills you bring to the table (such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, MailChimp, or whatever) are a bonus (though are NOT required in the normal day-to-day job you'll be doing).

A: yes that is correct. If you don't live in Sydney, or on the Central Coast, or in Newcastle, then your resume will NOT be considered.

Q: what will the work entail?
A: The short answer is ‘SEO/Digital Marketing’. The longer answer is: ‘SEO, both on-page and off-page; with link-building being the day to day priority. Writing or re-working website copy is also required from time to time. As is running mail chimp/EDM campaigns. etc, and posting on social media.
Note: this job is NOT sitting there twiddling your thumbs and making twee Facebook/Insta/X/TikTok posts, etc. So don't bother applying if that's the sort of job you're looking for. We're not interested in Social Media Managers. SEO is a different animal alltogether.
Q: could this lead to more hours/days and maybe even full-time work?
A: the short answer is 'Yes'. The longer answer is: 'It completely depends on your aptitude and abilities (once trained). We’re looking to start people off part-time for obvious reasons, but if you’re good at the job, and if you want more days moving forward, then more days can potentially be made available to you.
Q: do I need my own laptop or desktop? computer
A: yes, you'll be working on your own, personal computer at home when doing this job.
Q: do I need a webcam and microphone?
A: yes. We communicate via Microsoft Teams each work day.
Q: could I change my days if my study timetable changes?
A: Yes, but a MINIMUM of 2 days a week are required.
Q: what does this role pay?
A: $22 p/h (over 21) or $20 p/h (under 21)
Q: do I need an ABN to work for you?
A: Yes, these are rolling CONTRACTOR POSITIONS, not PAYE positions, so you'll NEED AN ABN to invoice us at the end of each month in order to get paid. And without an ABN we cannot consider you for the role.
