The purpose of this role is to supervise, coordinate and provide specimen collection services across metropolitan hospital sites while leading phlebotomy teams, supporting workforce capability and ensuring efficient and patient-focused service delivery.
What you'll do
In this role you will supervise and support specimen collection teams, coordinate daily operations and staffing activities, manage rosters and payroll processes, provide expert advice on specimen collection practices, perform phlebotomy duties and maintain clinical competency, support quality and accreditation activities, contribute to staff training and performance development, liaise with patients and clinical stakeholders, and assist with service planning and resource management across metropolitan collection services.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
Holds a Certificate III in Pathology Specimen Collection
Has advanced technical skills in phlebotomy and specimen collection
Has demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
Can manage staff, rosters and operational priorities effectively
Has strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Can build positive team cultures and deliver patient-focused services
