About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Receptionist to join our team for the long term to work Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
This role is perfect for someone with excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
The position is available now with training available to commence as soon as is possible for the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients in a warm and professional manner
- Managing appointments, patient bookings, and inquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Processing billing, Medicare claims, and payments
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring confidentiality
- Assisting doctors and medical staff with administrative tasks
- Ensuring the reception area remains tidy and well-organised
- Handling general office duties and responding to correspondence
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a medical reception or administration role is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Best Practice PMS or a willingness to learn
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
- A compassionate and friendly attitude towards patients
- Knowledge of Medicare and private health billing (advantageous)
