Experienced Male Support Mentor – Disability Support
24/7 Roster | Day, Evening and Sleepover shifts
Alya is currently seeking experienced and reliable Male Support Mentors to join a dedicated team supporting a male participant in his 60's, in the Warner/ Brisbane area.
This is an ongoing role within a structured and supportive environment, working alongside a consistent team to provide high-quality, person-centred care. The participant requires support with personal care, mobility, and medication management, along with general day-to-day assistance to maintain independence and wellbeing.
We are looking for mentors who are easy-going, respectful, and professional, with the ability to build genuine rapport while maintaining clear boundaries and consistency in support.
About the role
You will provide reliable, relationship-focused support across a 24/7 roster. The role involves supporting the participant both in the home and community, with a strong focus on safety, dignity, and routine.
Key responsibilities
- Personal care and hygiene support
- Mobility assistance and safe manual handling
- Medication administration and monitoring
- Supporting daily routines and household tasks
- Community access and social engagement
- Maintaining clear communication and accurate reporting
- Working collaboratively with family and the wider care team
About you
- Male support worker with relevant industry experience
- Confident supporting personal care, mobility, and medication management
- Easy-going, patient, and respectful in approach
- Able to build trust while maintaining professional boundaries
- Reliable, consistent, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working across a 24/7 roster, including sleepover shifts
- Willing to follow structured care plans and organisational processes
Experience in disability, aged care, or community services is highly regarded.
Experience with manual handling and medication support is beneficial, with training provided where required.
