About the role:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Disability Support Worker with a clear Australian Accent. The ideal candidate will have a warm personality, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting children with disabilities and build a positive, engaging connection with the client. This role involves providing in‑home and community‑based support, encouraging independence, safety, and meaningful engagement in daily activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, person‑centred support
- Assist with communication, routines, and daily activities
- Encourage social interaction and skill development
- Support community access and recreational activities
- Maintain a calm, positive, and engaging environment
- Follow support plans, risk strategies, and reporting requirements
- Provide individual support services and direct care for people with disability
- Provide accurate and detailed incident reports, progress notes and shift handovers
- Supporting with Domestic activities and assistance with personal care
- Manual handling, including hoist transfers – manual, electric / assisted standing
- Medication assistance
- Assist with meal preparation
- Management of challenging behaviors
- Willing to work with shorter and longer hours based on the client requirements
progress Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
- The ability to support participants in achieving social and self-care goals
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Driving License and own car is must
- First Aid and CPR
- Manual Handling Training
- Candidates from Wentworthville, Pendle Hill Seven Hill, Parramatta, Toongabbie, Westmead, and nearby suburbs of Greystanes are highly preferred
Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening check
- Police Clearance
- Current WWCC
- Current Australian Driver's License
- Certificate III in Individual Support or Cert IV in Disability/Aged Care, or equivalent qualification (Preferable)
