Primary Purpose of the position:
Responsible for overall management of Council’s Asset Management operations.
Oversight of the GIS function within Council
Implement and maintain processes for effective asset management within Council.
Duties: Specific duties are detailed in the Operations section of the Position Description attached below.
The applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:
1. Demonstrated experience in Asset Management, including preparation of Asset Management Plans.
2. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the general public and fellow employees.
3. Demonstrate an ability to solve problems by examination and analysis of available options.
4. Demonstrated experience in contract and program management.
5. Demonstrated capability of writing standard reports using sound written communications skills.
6. Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to set realistic goals and develop plans to achieve them.
7. Willingness to work extra or outside normal business hours when required.
Qualifications:
1. A Degree in Asset Management or equivalent tertiary qualifications with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
2. It is mandatory to possess and maintain at least a current Class C driving licence. Failure to retain such licence may be grounds for dismissal.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Degree/Diploma in Engineering
Salary and conditions: Grade 15 in Council’s salary system ($96,933.20 - $108,570.80 per annum) depending upon qualifications and experience, plus 12% Superannuation.
This position is Full Time - 70 hours per fortnight worked with one (1) rostered day off per month OR 70 hours per fortnight worked with one (1) rostered day off per fortnight
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
Prior to commencement the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Functional Assessment which includes an alcohol and other drug screening and a hearing test.
