About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Transitional Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Practitioner to join the Temora Cluster in a dynamic, engaging and rewarding role. This position offers the opportunity to apply advanced clinical knowledge and extended practice skills across a range of stable, unpredictable and complex care settings.
As a Rural Generalist you will be responsible for:
- Manage a broad range of acute and chronic presentations and manage referrals to facilitate integrated care across disciplines or teams
- Practice autonomously initiating and managing the care and/or monitoring the ongoing therapy of patients with diseases or disorders within the scope of practice by providing effective pharmacological and other evidence-based interventions.
- Providing leadership in preventative health programs and patient education in various settings.
Utilise the best available evidence to guide the treatment of patients in consultation with their general practitioners and specialist medical officers.
