QIC is seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join our Australian Real Estate Finance team on a fixed-term contract through to October 2027 . This is an exceptional opportunity to apply your financial accounting expertise within a sophisticated property and funds management environment, supporting a diverse portfolio of real estate investments.
Working alongside experienced finance professionals in a collaborative team environment, you'll play a key role in delivering financial accounting and reporting, compliance services, and investment accounting oversight while contributing to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
About the Role
As an Accountant in our Australian Real Estate Finance team, you’ll:
Prepare accurate and high-quality financial accounting workpapers and insights via regular monthly and quarterly activities.
Support the real estate investment valuation processes, and correct accounting for investment properties.
Navigate a diverse stakeholder group with high expectations for data and information.
Account for acquisitions and disposals, development and master planning activities, and manage monthly BAS lodgements.
Reconcile daily cash transactions, with strong follow through and resolution of reconciling items.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to ongoing operational excellence initiatives, with the latest AI tools at your fingertips.
Interact with outsourced investment accounting providers, maintaining high standards of accuracy, governance, and compliance.
About You
You are a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will bring:
A degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
CA or CPA qualification.
Experience in financial accounting, property or fund accounting environments.
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, financial reporting, tax compliance and control requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively across teams.
A proactive mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
