PW7 $96,069 - $105,813 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).

Apprentice Central operates as a dedicated department at Holmesglen, focused on providing holistic administration, support, guidance, and advice to both apprentices/trainees and employers. Our goal is to ensure that apprentices and trainees receive the necessary resources and assistance throughout their journey, supporting them from enrolment to successful completion of their apprenticeship.
This role acts as the first point of contact for new apprentices and trainees, supporting their transition into the adult learning environment and helping set them up for success. Working closely with employers, teaching departments and support services, you will use your strong stakeholder engagement skills to ensure apprentices and trainees receive the guidance and referrals they need. The role also leads the onboarding process and delivery of induction programs, with a strong focus on maintaining compliance with apprenticeship and traineeship requirements.
As an Apprentice Commencement & Support Officer, you will:

Act as the first point of contact for apprentices, trainees and employers, providing timely information and support throughout the training journey.

Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth transition into the learning environment.

Build strong relationships with employers, teaching departments and support services to support positive training outcomes.

Monitor apprentice and trainee progress, providing guidance, referrals and support to improve retention and success.

Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, maintaining accurate records and up-to-date documentation.
To be successful, you’ll have:

Relevant qualifications in careers advice, job placement, employment services or a related field (or lesser qualifications with substantial relevant experience), along with a current valid driver’s licence.

Strong knowledge of the VET sector, including apprenticeships and traineeships, with an understanding of relevant compliance and regulatory requirements.

Proven ability to support and engage apprentices and trainees, with a focus on improving retention and successful outcomes.

Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy and meet compliance requirements.

Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
WWCC and Police Check:
Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
