About the role
Provide high quality, evidence based clinical and health psychology services to inpatients and outpatients, supporting medical care. Develop and evaluate innovative, patient focused services. Deliver clinical education to multidisciplinary teams and supervise postgraduate students. Contribute to research, service planning, and departmental initiatives as part of the psychology and multidisciplinary team.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Deliver high level, evidence-based Psychology clinical services to medical and surgical inpatients and outpatients, including consultation, assessment, interventions and evaluation of complex care needs.
Contribute to the development of clinical practice, procedures and administrative protocols for the Psychology Department and multidisciplinary medical teams that support the continuum of care.
Provide clinical leadership and demonstrate high level management skills in monitoring and prioritising workload demands to initiate, develop and implement quality strategies that will enhance the delivery clinical psychology services. Plan and develop procedures in line with Queensland Health policy and recent research evidence, necessary for an efficient and effective service.
