Maxx Music is looking for a talented Violin Teacher to join our thriving Rouse Hill school. With over 1,300 students attending lessons across our two locations every week, our community is growing daily.
We are specifically seeking a teacher who can confidently guide advanced students through their AMEB examinations, while remaining equally enthusiastic about nurturing absolute beginners who are picking up the instrument for the first time.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced musicians looking to supplement their performance income, or advanced music students balancing university studies.
What You Will Be Doing
- Delivering high-quality, engaging, and individual violin lessons.
- Developing students' technique, musicality, performance skills, and confidence.
- Preparing dedicated students for AMEB examinations.
- Inspiring students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities with a lifelong love of music.
What We Are Looking ForEssential Criteria:
- Strong Experience: Proven ability to teach both beginners and exam-level students.
- Qualifications: Minimum Grade 8 AMEB (or equivalent examining body). CMus or AMus qualifications are highly welcomed.
- Communication Skills: Clear, confident communicator who can engage students in a positive, fun-loving manner.
- Availability: Able to work a minimum of 2 shifts per week during school terms. Shifts must remain consistent each week.
- Compliance: Clear understanding of Duty of Care, and must possess (or be able to apply for) a valid [Working with Children Check Number Redacted].
- Location/Commute: Ability to travel to our Rouse Hill school (located right by the Metro and bus station) and/or our Castle Hill school.

Important Information Before Applying:
- This position is not suitable for individuals in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa.
- Rouse Hill Metro station is very close to our music school, however, the Metro is not running at weekends during July 2026, so alternative transport would be required.
- Castle Hill location is well-supported by local buses; however, the ability to drive is an advantage as it is a 20-minute walk from the nearest Metro station.
