About the role
The role provides high level support and advice to facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of programs and/or projects, identifying innovative solutions and improvements to ensure ongoing sustainable practices that meet stakeholder expectations and realisation of unit objectives.
The position works collaboratively supporting the ongoing management of the financial operations, budgetary and reporting functions in accordance with Departmental policies.

About you
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or a related discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent relevant knowledge, skills and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills to effectively monitor the business units’ financial planning activities
- Strong project management skills to support and deliver the School Lifecycle Pipeline
Essential requirements of the role
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
- Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
- Proficient in the use of advanced Microsoft Excel as well as data analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
