Job Description
Vcloud Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect (ANZSCO 262117) to design, govern, and maintain resilient cloud security frameworks across multi-cloud enterprise environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). In this critical position, you will lead the technical design of end-to-end security architectures, establish Zero Trust access models, execute comprehensive threat modeling, and enforce organizational cyber security compliance and governance frameworks to safeguard systems against emerging cyber threats
Responsibilities include the following:
· Design, govern, and maintain enterprise-grade cloud security architectures, multi-tenant structures, and technical resilience frameworks across hybrid and multi-cloud platforms
· Conduct complex threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses to evaluate network perimeter controls and proactively mitigate attack vectors.
· Architect, implement, and govern Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Zero Trust network security solutions.
· Evaluate, select, and integrate modern security controls including firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and SIEM/SOAR monitoring platforms
· Architect, implement, and maintain high-availability cloud security architectures and technical resilience models across public, private, and hybrid cloud platforms.
· Conduct complex technical risk assessments, threat vector modeling, and vulnerability evaluations across corporate and client networks to proactively address threat exposure.
· Design, enforce, and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Zero Trust network security controls.
· Establish, evaluate, and integrate modern security controls including firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM/SOAR threat monitoring tools.
· Formulate, review, and enforce organizational cyber security governance, data protection frameworks, incident response playbooks, and security compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, ISM).
· Lead security incident response procedures, perform root-cause analysis, and direct forensic investigations during complex security events.
· Provide strategic technical advice and mentor junior and mid-level engineering personnel on security architecture standards, secure coding, and cloud security best practices.
Skills and Experience required
Skills:
· Hands-on expertise in designing Zero Trust models, Micro-segmentation, Container Security (Docker/Kubernetes), and API Security Gateway controls
· Proficiency with enterprise SIEM/SOAR threat intelligence systems, vulnerability management tools, and automated incident triage platforms
· In-depth knowledge of Australian and international cyber governance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, ISM, ACSC Essential Eight, APRA CPS 234).
· Deep technical domain expertise in cloud platform security design (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
· In-depth knowledge of Zero Trust architecture, network segmentation, container security (Kubernetes, Docker), and API gateway security.
· Proficiency in SIEM/SOAR platforms, automated threat detection, log analysis, and incident response governance.
· Strong familiarity with industry compliance frameworks and regulatory standards (ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, Essential Eight).
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills, with proven ability to present complex security concepts to executive stakeholders.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology.
· Industry certifications completed such as CISM, SC-100 Cuber Security Architect, AZ-500 Azure certifications & ITIL certified and Azure Security Engineer Associate.
Experience:
· Minimum 20 + years of overall professional hands-on experience in Infrastructure domain, digital workspace, and more than 9 Years of cybersecurity, including at least 4–5 years in a specialized Cloud/Cyber Security Architect capacity in SIEM/SOAR threat detection/response domain.
Pay: $110,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
