We are currently seeking a Claims Administrator to join a well-established insurance business on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong view to permanency based on performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and customer service experience who is looking to build a long-term career within the insurance industry.
About the Role
Working as the central support person within the Claims team, you will play a critical role in ensuring claims are prepared, processed and managed efficiently. You will provide day-to-day support to six Claims Assessors and a Senior Claims Assessor, acting as the key link between customers, brokers and the assessor team.
This is a fast-paced, process-driven environment where attention to detail, organisation and the ability to multitask are essential.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Registering new claims and maintaining accurate records
- Requesting and following up outstanding claim documentation
- Liaising with claimants, brokers, medical providers and other stakeholders
- Responding to customer enquiries and providing updates throughout the claims process
- Managing diaries, appointments and claim-related administration
- Supporting the assessment team with investigations and claim preparation
About You
- Previous administration and customer service experience
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- A proactive and adaptable approach to work
- The ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
Previous claims/insurance experience will be highly regarded but is not essential. Candidates with strong administration and customer service backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
What's on Offer?
- Salary of $65,000 - $70,000 + Super
