About the Role
Grampians Health is seeking a detail‑focused Senior Private Billing Officer to support private and compensable patient billing across the organisation. Reporting to the Manager – Private Billing, this role is key to successfully deliver financial outcomes in an accurate and timely manner, through the provision of competent financial analysis whilst complying with organisational policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconciliations, EOM processing, KPI Reports, Internal Audits
- Compliance with relevant legislation in relation to private health insurance and Medicare Benefits System
- Monitoring and follow up of debtor accounts
- Conduct regular audits of billing activities to identify revenue leakage
- Coordination of billing staff to ensure appropriate billing and debt management processes
Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in revenue, billing, or transactional services
- Previous experience in Private Billing operations
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of Medicare & Private Health insurance
