About AM Coil We're a family-owned commercial HVAC and kitchen exhaust cleaning business established in 1993. We service commercial sites across the ACT and NSW — restaurants, nursing homes, hospitals, and similar venues. No residential work.
The role You'll be part of a small Canberra crew cleaning grease and dust build-up from:
- Kitchen exhaust ductwork
- Canopies and hoods
- Exhaust fans on rooftops
You'll be paired with an experienced team leader who drives the company vehicle to site. All cleaning supplies, PPE, and equipment are provided by the company.
Pay rates
- 6am – 6pm: $31.21 per hour
- 6pm – 6am: $34.96 per hour
- Most of your hours will fall under the night rate
Employment type
- Starts as casual
- Full-time conversion available for the right person after a performance review
- We're looking for someone who wants a long-term role, not a stopgap
You must have
- Manual driver's licence
- Reliable transport to meet the crew at the jobs where possilbe
- White card (construction induction)
- Ability to stand on ladders and wear a harness for rooftop work
- Willingness to work nights as the standard shift pattern
- Good attitude and ability to work as part of a team
Nice to have (not essential)
- Previous duct cleaning, kitchen exhaust, or commercial cleaning experience
- Experience working at heights
