Nut Producers Australia (NPA) is an almond and pistachio processing and marketing business with a charter to maximise returns to growers and has an annual turnover more than $100 million. The business is a collective of three companies: NPA, the Marketing and Administration company based in Adelaide, Riverland Almonds in Loxton and Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company, based in Robinvale, Vic. As a separate and complementary channel, NPA also carries on the business of product trading to add to the growth of the business.

Riverland Almonds is part of Nut Producers Australia (NPA), an integrated almond and pistachio management, sales, trading and marketing business. The group brings together three specialist operations: NPA in Adelaide, Riverland Almonds in Loxton, South Australia, with hulling operations in Lindsay Point, Victoria, and Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company in Robinvale, Victoria.
About the role:
This role is responsible for leading the maintenance, servicing and repair of processing equipment at Riverland Almonds. You will diagnose operational issues, implement practical solutions and help maximise plant reliability, safety, quality and cost efficiency across the site.
- Ensure processing machinery is safe, serviceable and operating with minimal downtime
- Coordinate and complete mechanical repairs to a high standard, including arranging external support where required
- Identify potential equipment issues early and escalate risks that may impact processing efficiency or production output
- Monitor, record and report maintenance activity, spare parts usage and areas of inefficiency
- Support the delivery of preventative maintenance programs and ensure maintenance systems are followed consistently
- Maintain workshop areas, tools, oil storage and waste containers to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation
- Work to monthly maintenance plans and contribute to longer-term equipment maintenance scheduling
Who you are:
- Trade qualified with a current driver’s licence
- Strong welding capability across MIG, TIG, Arc and Oxy processes
- Sound hydraulic knowledge and fault-finding skills
- Experience working with conveying, sorting and packing equipment
- Well organised, analytical and solution focused
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to safety
- A practical, can-do approach and the ability to work well in a small team
