About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Qualified Mechanical Fitter for regular monthly FIFO shutdown work in Whyalla, South Australia.
The successful candidate will perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and servicing of industrial equipment during shutdown periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repair work
- Conduct equipment inspections and servicing
- Install, align, and replace mechanical components
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks
- Fault finding and troubleshooting
- Follow site safety procedures and shutdown requirements
Requirements
- Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Relevant trade qualification required
- Working at Heights Ticket (completed within the last 2 years)
- Confined Space Ticket (completed within the last 2 years)
- Previous shutdown, mining, or heavy industrial experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Must have valid working rights in Australia
