About the Role
We are seeking a Law Graduate / Migration Assistant who is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law and Practice (GDML).
This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate based on performance and business requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Registered Migration Agents and gain practical experience across a diverse range of migration matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Registered Migration Agents with the preparation and lodgement of visa applications.
- Drafting submissions, forms, and supporting documentation.
- Conducting migration research and keeping up to date with legislative and policy changes.
- Liaising with clients regarding document requests and application progress.
- Organising and maintaining electronic and physical client files.
- Assisting with skills assessments, state nominations, and employer-sponsored applications.
- Preparing file notes, correspondence, and compliance documents.
- Providing administrative and case management support to the migration team.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law and Practice (GDML).
- Law degree or equivalent legal qualification preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong research and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Professional, ethical, and client-focused approach.
- Previous experience in a migration or legal office will be highly regarded but is not essential.
