We are seeking Field Supervisors to join our Civil Maintenance Team within the Customer Delivery Division.

Base salary up to $163,000 plus 12% Superannuation
The Opportunity
As the Field Supervisor you will primarily be responsible for the civil workforce, ensuring the safe, compliant, effective and efficient Service Delivery for Customers.
What you'll do:
-
Show highly effective leadership to deliver safe, compliant and efficient people and operational outcomes. Establish effective expectations and drive performance through clear communication, coaching and a culture of working together.
-
Manage operations, maintenance and construction activities for water and wastewater infrastructure including leading the resourcing, planning and scheduling process to maximise work completion efficiency.

Foster a continuous improvement culture; lead and support change to improve organisational performance.
-
Strive to be a best practice service supplier, supporting benchmarking and knowledge sharing with other utility partners.

Drive and deliver exceptional customer service outcomes for Hunter Water’s customers and community.

Assist with business unit compliance with legislated requirements, management systems and business processes including WHS, Environment, Quality, Water Quality, Asset Management, and Information Security.

Support commercial outcomes including managing budgets and capital expenditure, ensuring timesheet accuracy, job costing and appropriate resourcing.

Liaise and interact with external stakeholders maintaining Hunter Water’s integrity and reputation (i.e. Safework, Ausgrid, Telstra, Councils).

Embrace technology solutions and actively support the implementation of digital strategy, the field services model and other initiatives.
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential Criteria:
-
Completed Secondary School to a minimum School Certificate (Year 10) level
-
Class C Drivers licence
-
More than 5 experience in related ‘Maintenance Management’
-
Demonstrated technical understanding of water, wastewater and stormwater systems
-
Substantial knowledge/experience in the repair/maintenance of water, wastewater and stormwater assets
-
Demonstrated team leader/supervisory experience in a reactive/operational work environment
-
Proven ability to lead a team focussed on high safety standard and achieving productivity targets
-
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage challenges and changing priorities whilst delivering to team and corporate deadlines
-
Proven ability to build effective working relationships and influence a diverse range of stakeholders with strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
-
Proven ability to lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
-
Ability to use a range of technology platforms including MS Office systems, ERP systems, online scheduling and work management systems
-
Ability to produce documentation including work instructions, standards, procedures and reports
Desirable Criteria:
-
Certificate IV Leadership & Management or other equivalent training or qualifications in leadership

Trade qualifications
-
Competencies in any of the following: RAM, RCM, TQM, ILM, RCA, FMECA, 6 Sigma, Lean
