What you'll do
As the Operations Specialist, you will provide advanced technical expertise and support to establish and maintain governance frameworks across key technology domains, ensuring defined service levels are consistently achieved. You will collaborate closely with teams across the branch to align and integrate operational services, processes and service delivery outcomes, while applying high-level technical skills to analyse complex IT system issues and implement effective solutions and improvements. Drawing on best-practice service management principles, including ITIL frameworks, you will lead change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and business continuity activities, ensuring the delivery of reliable, end-to-end enterprise system services that support Queensland Health's operational needs.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
Proven ability to participate in a highly skilled technical team providing high-level technical direction, standardisation and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focused organisation. (SFIA Code: ARCH 5; METL 5)
High level understanding and working knowledge of relevant technical domains (SFIA Code: TECH 5) :
Windows 10, Windows 11
Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
Directory Services (Microsoft Active Directory and Novell eDirectory)
Active Directory Group Policy administration and configuration
Application packaging (MSI, application virtualisation, scripting technologies)
Enterprise printing solutions (Novell iPrint)
Demonstrated skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements. (SFIA Code: DESN 5; ARCH 5; METL 5)
High-level communication skills to enable effective interaction in individual and group situations.
Demonstrated ability or the ability to quickly learn eHealth Queensland's ITIL Service Management processes (primarily incident / problem / change / config management). (SFIA Code: USUP 5; PBMG 5; CHMG 5; CFMG 5)
