ABOUT YOU + THE JOB
The Mount Gambier Hotel is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Duty Manager to join our leadership team. This is a full-time opportunity (or salaried position for the right candidate) working across a rotating 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
As a Duty Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the venue during service, supporting your team, and ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience across our bar, bistro and gaming operations.

THE NON-NEGOTIABLES
- Minimum 2 years’ hospitality experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Previous gaming experience (essential)
- Current RSA and Responsible Person Badge
- Basic and Advanced Gaming Certificates
- Strong knowledge of South Australian liquor and gaming legislation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to confidently lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, organised and professional presentation
- Availability to work nights, weekends and public holidays
YOUR DAY MIGHT INCLUDE
- Leading shifts across bar, bistro and gaming operations
- Delivering exceptional customer service and resolving guest enquiries
- Coaching, motivating and supporting team members
- Opening and closing the venue
- Maintaining compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, food safety and WHS requirements
- Monitoring gaming operations and ensuring legislative compliance
- Cash handling, banking and end-of-shift reconciliations
- Coordinating daily operations to ensure efficient service
- Assisting with stock control and venue presentation
- Responding professionally to customer feedback and operational issues
