GURU AUTO CARE PTY LTD trading as Oztecauto operates established automotive service centres across Sydney’s North Shore and Dural. Due to business growth and increasing customer demand, we are seeking one skilled and motivated Motor Mechanics to join our professional team.
Position Overview
The Motor Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and testing motor vehicles and internal combustion engines, ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently in accordance with Australian standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle systems
- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for inspection
- Repair or replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components
- Perform scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups
- Ensure vehicles comply with Australian road safety and emission standards
- Reassemble engines and mechanical systems following repairs
- Test and adjust repaired components to ensure proper performance
- Use diagnostic equipment and computer-based testing tools to identify faults
- Maintain accurate service records and follow manufacturer service manuals
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and automotive systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
