We have a Mechanical Tradesperson position available on a permanent full-time basis on a family friendly 15/13 roster at our Moomba, SA site location. This position is integral to our contract service delivery to our clients.
The purpose of this position is to service and maintain large engines and compression equipment. You will be required to carry out inspections, serving and repairs in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines and Occupational Health and Safety standards. You will also perform major overhauls and reconditioning of engines and ancillary components.
You will be required to –

Perform preventative and service interval maintenance on various models of Waukesha, Caterpillar, Ariel and other gas compression equipment, or wellhead equipment at the customer’s site, in field or in the Enerflex workshops.

Perform quality repair work, troubleshooting and tuning of gas driven engines, including annual servicing, overhauls and reconditioning of aging assets.

Commission new gas compression packages and equipment, as required.

About the role
A Mechanical Technician at Enerflex is responsible for performing a variety of mechanical tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and machinery used in the oil and gas industry. Some specific duties of a Mechanical Technician at Enerflex may include:

Installing, assembling, and testing mechanical components and systems in accordance with engineering specifications.

Conducting preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues

Assisting with the inspection and testing of equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Performing repairs and replacements of faulty parts or components to maintain the functionality of machinery.

Collaborating with engineers and other team members to develop solutions for mechanical problems and improve equipment performance.
- Following safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues.
- Documenting work performed, equipment status, and maintenance activities for record-keeping and reporting purpose
