We're excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse to the Sunshine Coast Public Health Unit.
Public Health services focus on managing the risks and protective factors that impact the health of the community. The primary objectives of Public Health include safeguarding health, preventing illness and injury, and promoting overall well-being. The Clinical Nurse/midwife contributes to these objectives by applying advanced clinical skills, problem-solving expertise, and strong planning and coordination abilities in the management of communicable disease control and immunisation services.

Key Responsibilities include:
Participate in the development, implementation, and review of policies, procedures, and guidelines based on evidence-based practice.
Work with public health databases to collect, analyse, and generate reports, ensuring data is used effectively for the role.
Management of cold chain breaches, immunisation schedules and catch ups, including overseas vaccine schedules.
Respond to Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFIs) and Vaccine Administration Errors (VAEs), providing guidance to clinicians, parents, and patients.
Remuneration value up to $139 252 p.a., comprising salary between $113 979- $122 048 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NRG6(1)). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
