The Role

You will be supporting our clients living with a disability to go about their daily lives the way they want, giving them support they need, when they need it. They have diverse and complex needs, requiring you to have high levels of understanding, patience, reliability and resilience.
- Your support and mentoring can have a meaningful impact on their lives but there will be challenging days due to behaviours and mental health issues.
- If you have the confidence and resilience to navigate these moments effectively, and are great at building positive relationships, can think on your feet and are a problem solver, then we want to hear from you.
Our expectations of you?

Mature, capable, and practical. Preferably experienced in Disability Support but we will consider other relevant and transferable skills if you can persuade us of your capabilities and motivation to support sometimes very vulnerable clients in a professional and person- centred manner.
- Empathy, respect, supportive and excellent communication skills are non-negotiable. You have a mature head on your shoulders, are always reliable and understand what this means for your clients.
- Interested in working for a company that loves to do things differently and will provide you with the support and training to succeed in your role?
- You have experience working with people with complex and diverse needs such as: Challenging and complex behaviours, Aggression and de-escalation, Complex polypharmacy and medication support.
- Certificate 3 level qualifications in Individual Support (Cert 4 Qualified candidates will not be considered)

- Shifts: Day shift: 0800-1600, Night shift 1600-0800 sleepover. Which is 8hrs paid base (plus penalties) and 8hrs sleep allowance
You must have:

Working rights status
- Current Disability Screening (DHS or NDIS worker Screening)
- Current Working with Children check
- Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
- Australian Drivers Licence and clean, roadworthy vehicle for transporting clients
- Comprehensive Car insurance for business use
- Strong English language skills able to communicate clearly in oral and written form
- Attention to detail to follow documented plans and for reporting/record-keeping
