We’re on the lookout for a casual barista with latte-art game and a calm, consistent workflow behind the machine. If you can pour clean rosettas and sharp tulips in 20–30 seconds without breaking a sweat, you’ll fit right in at Castaway.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Dial in espresso daily and maintain excellent extraction consistency
- Steam silky microfoam suitable for advanced latte art
- Pour clean, repeatable Rosettas, Tulips, Hearts (20–30 sec pour time)
- Serve 300+ cups during peak hours with accuracy and speed
- Keep the coffee bar clean, organised, and visually on-brand
- Deliver warm, friendly service to locals, tourists & our regulars
- Work alongside our team to keep service flowing smoothly
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
What We’re Looking For
- Confident latte-art ability: rosettas & tulips are a MUST
- 1–2 years barista experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong milk-texturing skills with multiple milks (dairy & alt)
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- A positive attitude and pride in presentation
- Must be available weekends & during busy periods (GC peak trade)

Pay: $31.00 – $36.04 per hour
