We are seeking an experienced
National Operations Manager to lead Yo-Chi’s Operations team across Australia during an exciting period of growth, scale, and national expansion.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, commercial performance, leadership capability, and consistency across our nationwide venue network. You will help set and execute the national operations strategy, lead and develop a high-performing team of State Managers, and ensure every venue delivers the Yo-Chi standard across customer experience, food safety, people , metrics, and brand execution.
Reporting directly to the General Manager – Operations, this role will play a key part in strengthening Yo-Chi’s operating model, building scalable systems, improving leadership capability, and partnering cross-functionally with Support Office teams to deliver sustainable growth.
What You’ll Do
- Help set, lead, and execute the national operations strategy in alignment with Yo-Chi’s growth, commercial, and brand objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop State Managers , building a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, capability, collaboration, and care.
- Oversee national venue performance across sales, profitability, labour, cost of goods, food safety, compliance, customer experience, and team engagement.
- Take ownership of operational P&L outcomes, identifying opportunities to improve margin, productivity, efficiency, and sustainable profitability.
- Establish and embed national operating rhythms, reporting disciplines, performance frameworks, SOPs, playbooks, and scalable process improvements.
- Partner with Finance to analyse commercial performance, forecast operational impacts, manage budgets, and drive data-led decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Talent, Supply Chain, Marketing, Projects, Property, Finance, and Support Office teams to deliver business priorities.
- Lead operational planning and readiness for new venue openings, ensuring consistent execution, team capability, and launch excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement across venue standards, customer experience, food safety, labour optimisation, systems adoption, and operational compliance.
- Support local area marketing and community engagement initiatives that strengthen brand connection and drive venue-level sales performance.
- Provide strategic insight, operational expertise, and leadership influence as part of the broader Operations leadership team.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant senior operations leadership experience within QSR, hospitality, retail, or another multi-site, customer-led environment.
- Proven experience leading large-scale, geographically dispersed teams through State or Area leadership structures.
- Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrated ownership of P&L performance, labour productivity, cost control, revenue growth, and profitability improvement.
- A strategic and hands-on operator who can balance long-term planning with disciplined execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- An exceptional people leader with a track record of building leadership capability, coaching senior operational teams, and creating strong performance cultures.
- Deep understanding of operational excellence, customer experience, compliance, food safety, labour management, and multi-site execution.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across Support Office functions and align teams around shared priorities.
- Comfortable working with data, performance reporting, budgets, and operational insights to identify opportunities and drive outcomes.
- Highly adaptable, solutions-focused, and energised by growth, change, pace, and complexity.
- Willingness to travel regularly interstate to connect with teams, visit venues, and support national execution
