Sam Transport Group is looking for 2–3 reliable warehouse labourers to join our warehouse team in Punchbowl.
The main duties include unloading shipping containers, sorting goods, palletising stock and assisting with general warehouse operations.
This role involves physical work and is suitable for applicants who are reliable, hardworking and comfortable with manual handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload cartons and goods from shipping containers
- Sort, count and palletise stock
- Wrap and label pallets
- Assist with receiving and dispatch
- Move goods safely within the warehouse
- Keep the warehouse clean and organised
- Follow workplace safety procedures
- Assist forklift operators and warehouse supervisors as required
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Available for early morning starts when required
- Must have valid Australian working rights
- Own transport is preferred due to the warehouse location
- Previous warehouse or container unloading experience is preferred but not essential
Desirable
- Forklift licence
- Experience using pallet jacks
- Experience with container unloading or devanning
- Mandarin-speaking ability is helpful
