About your opportunity:
In this position you will:
To provide assistance with outpatient clinics as directed by the Consultant to whom assigned.
To arrange investigations, surgical treatment, medical treatment and discharge as directed by the Consultant to which assigned.
To ensure that discharge summaries and other correspondence are completed with minimum delay and that all such correspondence is complete prior to leaving the unit.
Maintain good communications with all areas and disciplines within the health service and with local medical practitioners to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the hospital.
Ensure and review the quality of patient care by participation in clinical audits and quality programs.
Participate in the provision of an on-call roster or a shift roster to provide services out of hours, at night and on weekends as directed by the relevant Director.
