Position Summary:
The Key Account Manager is a core member of the Retail Commercial team, responsible for the end-to-end ownership of Aldi and our Autocare business within Woolworths. This role focuses on delivering mutually beneficial outcomes through the development and execution of customer strategies and Joint Business Plans. Working closely with the Senior National Account Manager, the role leads internal planning and contributes to JBP delivery while building capability in customer-facing leadership.
Responsibilities:
Own and deliver against budgeted sales, gross margin and KPI targets across assigned accounts.
Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Commercial Planning & Strategy

Support co-creation and delivery of Joint Business Plans with the Senior National Account Manager.

Identify opportunities across pricing, promotions, range and distribution.
Forecasting & Supply

Manage forecasting processes to ensure consistent stock availability.

Work closely with Demand Planning to mitigate risks.
Promotional Planning & Execution

Lead promotional planning and ensure effective execution.

Evaluate performance and optimise future activity.
Customer Management & Engagement

Lead preparation and delivery of customer presentations and proposals.

Build strong relationships with Woolworths stakeholders.
Commercial Analysis

Utilise EPOS, Quantium and IRI data to generate insights.

Support decision making through analysis of performance trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Marketing, Category Development, Demand Planning and Field teams.
What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 2+ years’ commercial experience within FMCG or equivalent.

Proven experience in account management or similar commercial role.

Strong analytical capability and financial acumen.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Experience with Woolworths Group and Aldi systems.

Experience with major retail customers.
