True Blue Water Exchange is a specialist water brokerage company operating across the Murray–Darling Basin, facilitating water entitlement, allocation and leasing transactions. We work with irrigators, agricultural enterprises and water investors to facilitate efficient and compliant water market transactions across the Murray-Darling Basin involving the states of VIC, NSW, SA and QLD. We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our team for a full-time position and have the ability to manage the administration, regulatory processing and coordination of water market transactions across multiple Basin jurisdictions.
This is a highly specialised role requiring a strong knowledge of Australian water markets, Basin trading frameworks and water entitlement structures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, oversee and negotiate water entitlement transfers, allocation trades and lease arrangements;
- Prepare and manage trade contracts, agreements and documentation paperwork for renewing or updating existing contracts;
- Process and submit water trade applications with relevant authorities and irrigation operators, ensuring current compliance with Basin regulations and state-based trading rules;
- Ongoing liaison with water authorities, irrigation corporations and stakeholders;
- Manage documentation for permanent and temporary trades;
- Process key trade forms including Form 39 and Form 71;
- Coordinate multi-party transactions across irrigators, investors and agricultural clients (including project managers, architects and landowners);
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports of work activity status to management;
- Support operations of the company’s digital trading platform;
- Assist with current and new staff training and onboarding.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Australian water trading industry or Murray–Darling Basin markets
- Strong knowledge of water entitlements, registration, allocation systems and irrigation delivery networks
- Experience preparing and processing water trade documentation and authority applications
- Understanding of interstate water trading frameworks
- Experience working with water authorities and irrigation infrastructure operators and their trading platforms
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to coordinate complex, multi-party transactions
PREFERRED :
- Candidates with at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
- Familiar with water registers, irrigation corporations or trading platforms
- Be willing to travel to Basin regions as required for onsite signing appointments
