Join Ampcontrol's High Voltage Field Service team in Tomago and help deliver critical electrical infrastructure projects across Australia.
As an HV Estimator, you'll work on a diverse range of projects including high voltage maintenance, substation upgrades, transformer replacements, electrical infrastructure renewals and industrial power system projects.
Working closely with customers, technical specialists and operational teams, you'll develop estimates and tender solutions that help bring these projects to life. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Tradesperson, Technician or Engineer looking to apply their technical expertise in a commercial, project-focused role while contributing to complex and high-value projects across multiple industries.
What You'll Do
As an HV Estimator, you'll be responsible for:

Preparing accurate cost estimates, quotations and tender submissions

Developing budgets for maintenance, overhaul, upgrade and replacement projects

Reviewing tender documentation, technical specifications and customer requirements
-
Liaising with customers to understand project scope and provide tailored solutions
-
Supporting pre-engineering activities and project planning processes
-
Coordinating tender follow-ups and maintaining strong customer relationships
-
Participating in project reviews and handovers to operational teams
-
Ensuring tenders comply with contractual, regulatory and industry requirements

Identifying opportunities to improve tender success rates and business growth
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Electrical trade qualifications and/or Engineering qualifications
-
Experience in estimating, project delivery or a related technical role
-
Knowledge of HV and LV electrical plant, equipment and systems
-
Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
-
A customer-focused approach with the ability to develop lasting relationships

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
-
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Highly regarded:

Experience preparing electrical estimates and tender submissions

Project management qualifications

Experience within electrical services, utilities, mining, industrial or infrastructure sectors
