About the Role
As Room Leader, you'll take the lead in creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally rich environment for the children in your room. You'll guide and mentor a team of educators, oversee curriculum planning, and build genuine relationships with families, all while helping maintain the centre's reputation for exceptional care.
You'll be supported by leadership that values consistency, collaboration, and quality practice above all else.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of your room
- Implement curriculum in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Guide, mentor, and support a team of educators
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate experiences
- Support children's individual routines, wellbeing, and development
- Build genuine, trusting relationships with children and families
- Maintain accurate observations, documentation, and compliance
About You
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (mandatory)
- Experience leading or co-leading a room in a centre-based setting
- Strong understanding of child development and curriculum planning
- Current WWCC and First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications
- Current Child Protection training, or willingness to obtain
- Natural leadership qualities — warm, organised, and reliable
- A genuine passion for mentoring and inspiring a team
