Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer Australia, as a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving Swissport’s commercial performance across the Australia region. This critical position is responsible for driving strategic commercial initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, and managing key client relationships from contract negotiation through to execution.
You will deliver actionable financial insights and commercial analysis to support data-driven decision-making and ensure alignment with both regional objectives and global business goals. Your ability to evaluate commercial performance, lead pricing proposals, and manage regulatory compliance will be essential in enhancing Swissport’s competitive position in the aviation services market.
To succeed in this role, you will bring extensive experience in aviation or logistics, strong problem solving skill set, commercial acumen, and a collaborative leadership style. Your activities

Drive and implement commercial strategies aligned with business growth objectives

Identify new business opportunities to expand Swissport’s footprint

Drive commercial projects, including equipment management and new service initiatives

Manage client relationships and key account performance

Lead contract negotiation and execution, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Prepare pricing proposals and evaluate financial impacts

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery

Monitor performance through data and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement
Your profile

Extensive experience in aviation or logistics commercial roles (Experience in Cargo or Ground handling is preferred)

Strong background in large-scale contract negotiations

Proven problem solving skills

Proven capability in managing client relationships throughout the contract lifecycle

High-level analytical, numerical, and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to influence strategic decisions through commercial acumen

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and financial reporting tools (Power BI preferred)
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance or related discipline

Advanced understanding of commercial and financial principles

Familiarity with APAC aviation market and regulatory landscape
