Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour – Executive Assistant Manager
A fresh chapter is opening on the harbour.
Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour is reopening following a full refurbishment.
Re-emerging as a premium apartment hotel in one of Sydney’s most vibrant waterfront locations.
Located on King Street Wharf, just moments from Barangaroo, ICC Sydney and the CBD, the hotel offers 114 spacious studios and apartments designed to give guests the comfort, flexibility and space to stay their own way.
This is a rare opportunity to join the team ahead of reopening and help shape the guest experience from day one.
About the role
As Executive Assistant Manager, you’ll be at the heart of daily hotel operations; keeping things running smoothly, leading your team across departments, and ensuring every guest experience is seamless and memorable.
You’ll lead by example, bring calm to complexity, and play a key role in financial planning, strategic direction, and creating the kind of authentic, community-connected guest experiences that make Adina different.
What you’ll be doing
- Driving operations end to end - You'll oversee daily hotel operations across all departments, keeping performance strong and guest service outstanding. Whether it's front desk, restaurant or maintenance - you're hands-on, present and in it with the team.
- Leading through challenge - Available on-site and off, you'll handle issue resolution and crisis management with grace and composure. You navigate complexity without losing momentum and bring your team along with you.
- Owning the numbers - You'll support the Hotel General Manager with budgeting, forecasting, financial admin and audits. You're across payroll costs, COGs and reporting - proactively managing each so financial goals are met without compromising quality.
- Shaping strategy - You'll participate in revenue, marketing and F&B meetings, develop and execute strategic business plans, and assist in preparing detailed CAPEX documentation. You help set the roadmap and guide the team through it.
- Building the guest journey - You'll play a key role in developing bespoke guest experience touchpoints and authentic moments that create strong brand connections. You're passionate about community - embedding the hotel within the neighbourhood and making it feel like it belongs there.
- Growing your team - You'll lead recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management. You mentor talent, champion development, and foster a culture of communication through daily briefings and monthly team meetings.
- Holding the standard - From immaculate presentation across all hotel areas to food safety compliance, brand standards across Rooms and F&B, and seamless conference and events execution - you keep the bar high, every day.
About you
You thrive in a fast-paced environment. You consistently go beyond what’s expected, with energy and drive. You bring a polished presence, a genuine flair for arts, style and culture, and a deep understanding of what luxury service really feels like.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Proven experience in full-service hotel management, with a strong understanding of the touchpoints that create exceptional guest experiences
- Exceptional analytical skills to review and action financial reports, plans and capital expenditure
- The confidence to take ownership of hotel operations in the absence of the Hotel General Manager
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a genuine commitment to mentorship and professional development
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
