Role Description
This is a on-site role for a Quality Assurance Officer located in Carrum Downs, VIC.
The QA Officer will be responsible for maintaining quality systems, overseeing compliance with regulatory and food safety standards, reviewing documentation, and working closely with production and QC teams to ensure ongoing product and process quality.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
1.Implement and maintain the company’s quality assurance systems in compliance with HACCP and GMP standards.
2.Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality documentation.
3.Conduct internal audits, inspections, and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
4.Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
5.Support staff training in quality and food safety procedures.
6.Investigate non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis.
7.Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities when required.
8.Assist with other QA-related tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Chinese language skills ( not required.)
Solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety systems.
Experience in quality assurance within the food or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail nd accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate across departments.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: From $31.19 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
