As an Ancillary Services Worker, you will:
Kitchen Services
Assist in the preparation and delivery of nutritious, varied meals to young people and staff.
Maintain hygienic food preparation areas and kitchen equipment.
Follow food safety standards and adhere to security protocols.
Assist with stock control, including ordering, recording, and conducting stocktakes.
Cleaning and Hygiene Services
Ensure a high standard of cleanliness in designated areas of the centre.
Perform routine cleaning duties, including:
Sanitising toilet facilities, windows, and doors.
Sweeping, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
Cleaning offices, common areas, and kitchen facilities.
Maintain and store cleaning equipment securely and responsibly.
Laundry and Maintenance Support
Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, and distributing clothing and linen.
Perform minor maintenance and groundskeeping tasks, such as lawn mowing and rubbish disposal.
Security and Safety Compliance
Adhere to operational procedures to ensure the safety and security of the detention centre.
Report any hazards, risks, or security concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Role-Specific Skills
Experience in food preparation, cleaning, or facility maintenance is beneficial.
